[MTOS-dev] Template Module Caching

I love the new template module caching in 4.15, but I'm wondering how this
functionality works with global templates?  I'd like to be able to specify a
location for global templates so that I can include them into my local blogs
via php, but it seems like because global settings (user profiles, etc.)
don't really have an actual "location" assigned to them, they have to exist
solely in the database.  Or am I thinking of this the wrong way?
