It goes without saying I've been a detractor of the dynamic page
system in MT from the very start. That said I always felt that
archives are poorly suited for dynamic generation because they are so
database intensive particular the category archives. (Komra posted
some time ago to PorNet to report how dynamic archives punished the
MarketWonk servers.) memcached of course helps that, but if they can't
run PQ/JQ then they certainly are going to be able to run memcached.
