[MTOS-dev] Proposal: Publishing Profiles

Here are a couple of early thoughts after reading it.

* "Profiles" threw me off because I thought you where talking about
*user* profiles. Publishing modes perhaps?

* Would this enable custom archive types? I recall that was a feature
at one point and then it seemed to vanish. Perhaps this is off topic,
but it reminded me I wanted to ask about this.

* What does that magic "custom" option do or look like? The pseudo
profile plugin code seems to do what I would expect the custom option
would do in a sense.

* Not sure asynchronous will be understood by most users. Also will
this interface notify them that the
Publish(Job)Queue is not only required, but running?
