I already put my name under the CGI::Application item since its been a
"thing" of mine that I've put a fair bit of thought into.
I have another idea I wanted to float before adding it to the list.
I've been pushing the idea of making the base MT template engine
available for use by the general perl (CPAN) developer community. I
went so far as to start fleshing out what that might look like[1], but
ran out of time and that was before MT4 was even started. I did come
up with a name (Typist) and secured the namespace in CPAN. (I'm kind
of fond of it.)
What does everyone think? The idea would be that, like DOD, this would
exist separately in CPAN, but form the basis of MT's template engine.
I think done correctly some forms of reusable general purpose tags
could follow this in to CPAN.
Thoughts?
