[MTOS-dev] Testing MTOS Debian packages: rendered pages are empty

Hi,

My Debian packages are basically up and running now, but with one
significant problem: any static pages that are rendered are zero bytes
long. They are all created in the right place but are consistently
blank. Since the same MTOS version installed 'plain' works okay, this
must be an issue with one of the bundled modules differing from the
versions in Debian. Note that I did upgrade my Debian package of
TheSchwartz to use the code from
http://code.sixapart.com/svn/TheSchwartz/trunk/ , since that's one where
I know there are likely to be issues.

I'm aware that MT people probably will want to strike me down, saying
that MT will only ever be supported with the versions of extlib modules
shipped, but since shipping those in the Debian packages isn't really an
option (at least en masse - if there really is a problem with a
particular module, I would like to understand the issue, and either fix
it or selectively include extlib modules if really necessary), I intend
to persue this a bit more.

So, does anyone have any clues as to where this strange behaviour could
be coming from? I've run with 'DebugMode 1', and not seen any debug logs
when rebuilding the test site, so I'm a bit stuck as to how to proceed
with debugging.

Thanks,

Dominic.
