Actually, this brings up a question: What exactly is being discussed here?
I would guess Byrne is talking about 6A standardizing the /application/ JS
on YUI, whereas Reed started this regarding what lib he uses for his
plugins.

And while there's nothing stopping us from just grabbing anything in
mt-static for a plugin's use, the two situations don't necessarily have
anything to do with each other, and I want to check that there aren't
separate discussions getting silently mashed together.

For purposes of in-application use, I think YUI has some definite
advantages(mostly really robust UI widgets). Without really casting a
definite vote, I probably wouldn't put it up for front-end use.
