[MTOS-dev] Daemonizing a process?

One thing relating this to packaging efforts is that ubuntu (and someday Debian) uses upstart ( http://upstart.ubuntu.com/ ) and I think it would be interesting to see a package that will set up the daemon in upstart for you.

Does anyone know how I can bootstrap publish queue with a daemon

service or tool? Doesn't linux have some way that I can allow for the
process to be restarted if for some reason it dies?
