I don't follow your comment because, at least for FastCGI, "reinventing 
the wheel" is about 10 lines of code, most of which is simply copied 
from 6A schwartz daemon.

If your comment was about process managers in general, we already use 
FCGI::ProcManager and a will migrate to FCGI::Engine in the future.
