[MTOS-dev] Pingback for Movable Type and a proposal

I have completed initial support for Pingback for Movable Type creating a
greater degree of interoperability between WordPress and MT blogs.

The code was checked in here:

My experience in developing this plugin [1] resulted in my writing a
proposal for how to create a better abstraction layer for pings. I am not
convinced it is necessary, but is worth the discussion:
