Yes, mt-search.cgi generates the pages completely on the fly. In the most
recent release, some performance optimizations were made for the search
templates. Byrne mentioned pulling out the comment counts. Generally,
keeping the MT template tags down to a minimum will reduce rebuild times by
cutting database queries and computations.
