Not really missing anything - I just haven't had the time to put
together a dynamic version. That, and no one has really requested it
(that's usually a reason why anything moves ahead). Most installations
I personally know about are using static publishing for individual
archives and dynamic for other archive types (as high comment loads can
kill dynamic publishing).
If there's call for it, I'll see what I can do. But the demand just
hasn't been there thus far.
