Abandoning tabs will complicate the javascript since most of the heavy
lifting is done by the jQuery Tabs plugin. Of course, all the display
logic is found in templates so they can be edited by webmasters.
My solution, which hasn't been committed yet, is to include a link at
the bottom of the comment page back to the navigation at the top.
