[MTOS-dev] should there be an mtos-general? or (shudder) mtos-help?

Did not mean to convey an overly strong sense of dismissal, merely
re-raising the point on a list where it might hit a more targeted audience.
A few points:
1. Generally, it's really hard to use forums: hard to track, hard to find
your answer there, yet another login if you want to post your own message.
Email is the great equalizer in terms of usability.
2. Things I see really succeed have an open-mike type of list. Recent OSS
projects I have seen with this are Sam Ruby's Venus aggregator,
microformats, jquery, ruby on rails. Probably because email is the great
equalizer, and also because it intrudes into people's lives.
3. Even today, Timothy Appnel said to someone on pro-net that he thought
there was an mtos list for support.
Note, you would not be obliged to join the mtos-general list.
