If, in the past you have donated or paid for a Movable Type commercial license, we want to thank you by providing credit for your past payments.

Donations

You will need the Recently Updated Key(s) issued to you in exchange for your donation.

We will credit you $20 for the first key, $25 for your second key, and $20 for any subsequent keys up to the price of the license. Your keys can only be used once.

Commercial Payments

You will need the PayPal Transaction ID associated with your payment in our system in order to receive the commercial credit.

We will credit you $150 for the Transaction ID. Your ID can only be used once and if you subsequently request a refund, you will only be refunded the amount you actually paid.

Note that PayPal assigns two Transaction IDs to each payment, so the ID you have may not match the one in our system. If you get an error when trying to enter your ID, please see "Lost Keys or IDs" later in this article for how to request the correct ID to use.

Receiving the Discount

After you select your license from our pricing page, you will need to enter your Key(s) or ID in the Discount Code box on the Price of Selected License screen.

Please be sure the credit is deducted from the total cost before proceeding to enter your billing information; if it isn't, you will be charged the full price for the new license.

Lost Keys or IDs

If you do not know the Donor Key(s) or PayPal ID to use for your past payments, you will need to contact our support staff prior to making the purchase so that they can help you locate these. Note that in order to do this, our staff will need to know the email address which you used to send the original payment from PayPal.

Use the Movable Type Contact Form and select Donor Key as the category for your inquiry. Explain that you are trying to locate your Key(s) or ID, and provide the email address you used to send the original payment from PayPal.
