- The auto-expiration of Junk feedback items only occurs when a user visits the main menu for that weblog. In future versions, auto-expiration of junk items will be triggered system-wide when a new junk feedback item is received.
- When an entry is saved from the Preview screen, duplicate TrackBack pings may be sent out
- When an entry is saved from the Preview screen, the entry basename may be incremented or, if the title was changed, altered to fit the new title.
- Subcategories are not alphabetically sorted in the category assignment listings on the entry editing screen
- The Movable Type administrative interface has significant style/layout problems in Netscape 7.1 and possibly all other Netscape-brand browsers. These problems do not occur in Mozilla and Firefox browsers
- The
lastn attribute to MTArchiveList does not work properly and produces an incorrect number of archives.
- Non-ASCII characters are encoded incorrectly under MySQL 4.1x
- Dynamic publishing does not properly use/store linked templates
- The recently_commented_on attribute to MTEntries may not function correctly when the MTEntries block is nested in a constraining block such as MTSubCategories.
- Changing your blog's time zone forward (in the positive direction) can throttle commenters for a while
- Modified 'URLs to ping' field not saved when saving entry
- The Atom feed ID (atom:feed and atom:id) will change if the blog domain is changed or the user exports/imports.
- If an error occurs while run-periodic-tasks is running, an entry may be put into "Published" status but not rebuilt.
- CMS.pm and Comments.pm lack HTTP proxy support
- When a thumbnail is generated for a GIF image with animation, the thumbnail appears broken.
- TrackBack pings received from a site using a different character encoding are displayed incorrectly.
- Movable Type can't be used with DBD::Pg 1.4 because of a bug in that version of the database driver.
- Better error checking disallows blank names in new categories, but they are still allowed when you edit and save an previously existing category.
- When a reader submits the "Mail This Entry" form, no confirmation is displayed.
- <MTCalendarCellNumber> isn't yet supported in dynamic templates.
- The new "locale" attribute for returns a value in dynamic templates that is inconsistent with its return value on static templates.
- After the first weblog, additional weblogs have category archives off by default, even though the default templates have category archives listed on the main index.
- When using MySQL 4.1, "modified" date strings will be mangled--for example, the output of the <MTEntryModifiedDate> tag is incorrect
- Windows XP (with IIS), the TrackBack URL that is displayed by does not work without further server configuration. For instructions, see "Configuring TrackBack on IIS Servers" in the TRACKBACK section of the Movable Type manual.
