Final Release Candidate 2 is posted
You'll notice that over on the left sidebar, we've posted Movable Type 3.3b-Final Release Candidate 2. We're pretty happy with this one because it looks like we've found and fixed all of the bugs that would be considered showstoppers for this release thanks to Tweezerman and our Japanese users who actually got a "final release" a bit early.
Download it if you like. It's doubtful that anything else will change between now and release. I'll be posting the release notes for FRC2 shortly.

Jay I just sent in bug report # 32075 because the main menu where the latest MT News is displayed is showing an outed news entry (dated 11 May 2006).. after submitting the bug, I checked my 3.2 installation and it has the same problem, so the 'bug' is not with 3.3bFRC2, it's with the feed from MT News at http://www.sixapart.com/movabletype/news/index apparently..

I am curious if any of the Windows Server 2003 problems with plugins have been addressed (specifically, the path problems).
Thanks.

Does this release candidate provide any more insight to predict a general release date? If so, I'd love to know.

Ohhh, we're not done yet. Still cleaning up after the nine month development party. It'll be a few days. :-)
Thanks though. I can't tell you how relieved we are to have not only Movable Type 3.31 out but ALSO Movable Type Enterprise.
No more juggling two releases at once. Never again...

So are we still waiting for the promised release notes and other various explanations from throughout the beta or did it go to full release and let us hang without explanation?

So IS MT 3.3 released to the masses? If that's the case I guess FRC 2 notes are kinda useless.

Yes and pretty much, but apparently some people still want them.

Nahh since there were no official word about the status of MT 3.3 or whichever number we're at now, we (at least I) had to count on it still being in beta.

Hey, where should we report bugs now? I found one in a spamlookup template and put it in the beta bug report system, but I'm not sure you'll get it there.
