Movable Type 3.3: Ready for release!
Well, it's been months of long, hard work by us and weeks of dedicated beta testing by you all, so it naturally makes me very happy to say that, at long last, Movable Type 3.3 has been frozen and is ready for release!
That's right, we've put the lid on this puppy and will be shipping it out to the world tomorrow along with revamped downloadable docs and everything else that goes out with a release.
The final cases resolved since Beta-20060626 can be found here.
I want to thank you all again for helping us make this the best release of Movable Type ever. We still cannot believe how smoothly this beta test went and we're proud to count passionate Movable Type users such as yourselves in our extended family.
So, look for the release tomorrow and, in the meantime, go tell the world (or at least the very geeky, digerati portion of it) how much you love Movable Type!

Rock on. I'll have it installed soon as I can find the link.
I ran this beta from the start and had NO issues with it. Very clean; good job, folks.

Other than the beta notes (beta 1, beta 2, beta 3) is there a synopsis somewhere of what has changed that we can use to be sure that everything works?

Great - I run this stuff on several sites, looking forward to it.
I didn't have time to participate in the beta cycle this time around, as this happened when my company (3D Realms) released a game (Prey), so things are hectic around here.

Congratulations! I've gotta say I messed around with the betas, and this release just may get me back into "blogging". No hurry and release it! ;-)

Congratulations to everyone who worked on this new release. I'm looking forward to implementing it on my site. You deserve a great party as a reward for your efforts, but not until you tell me where to find the URL to download it.

heh.. beginning to wonder if they started partying so hard already that they forgot to put up a link to the final release first. :) Nothing in MT account, no work on the repository for 5 hours.. uh-oh ;)

oh.. ok, it looks like there's going to be a Beta-FRC (final release candidate) yet to be issued before the general availability release (public) version comes out - usually one in the same anyway, but there ya go. I'm guessing this because there is a Beta-20060626 release notes page followed by a Beta-FRC release notes page.. maybe I'm wrong though.
The silence is deafening, the suspense killing. :)

I've finally found a little time to install the beta and take a look at it--wonderful! Some great stuff here!
