Unlimited weblogs
This is an archived entry from the Movable Type 3.2 beta test.
Entries from the current beta release (v3.3) can be found here.
I don't know if you all caught this little blurb on Mena's Corner so I figured I'd post it here and brighten your day even further:
[W]ith version 3.2, *all users* will be entitled to unlimited weblogs. This goes for free users, as well. A lot of the rationale behind this was that the multiple weblog management is so good in 3.2, that we didn't want to have the limit anymore.
The best just got better. And yes, she scooped us on feature 32. Curses!

That's nice of 6A (unlimited usage for all) ..although for the people who paid for a license, what is the benefit of a paid license now (if any).. other than the individual support, which, being such a good product, will hopefully be used minimally if at all :)
Or perhaps the license will transfer to some future 4.0 release or something?
Gratz on the upcoming release of non-beta 3.2 :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am a student and only 15 years old so I can't make a lot of money if any at all. I was always limited in th old versions and that's why I went to Wordpress for a while. But I never wanted to give up MT because I love the UI and the customizability. I love this blogging platform and the instant I get the cash to purchase a full license, I will. By the way, keep releasing beta's until you are satisfied with the number of bugs reported. Hate to have a final release and every thing crashes.

I would be very careful how you use your Movable Type software. I have a paid account for the unlimited Personal edition and was chastised a few months back by a member of the MT sales team for allowing folks to signup and freely (no charge) author their own blogs on my 'single' install of the unlimited Personal edition. I am still not sure exactly what I did wrong but I was asked to stop. I only had about 12 authors on one install at that time. Just something to think about.

I can kind of understand that.. offering to the general public is different from offering to personal friends or associates.
