Nightly posted, all else quiet

This is an archived entry from the Movable Type 3.2 beta test.
Entries from the current beta release (v3.3) can be found here.

I just wanted to apologize for our recent silence. We've been really busy at MT HQ trying to pump out what should hopefully be out last beta release: Beta-3. All in all, it should be worth just a couple more days wait. We're hoping to release that on Wednesday.

In other news, I posted the nightly on the sidebar for those who want to try it out. Again, it has NOT been put through our initial QA checkout so we can't vouch for its quality, but I can tell you that it contains fixes for a large number of the bugs you all reported. If you're blocked with a bug, go ahead and try it. If not, then stick with what you have as beta-3 will be coming soon.

Once again, thank you for all of your fabulous bug reports and for making this your temporary home.

Jay, I'm very pleased to report that the new nightly (or just the fact that I upgraded replacing whatever file was damaged before) fixed that Typekey problem I was having (I said "trackback" in my entry...fixing that now).

Sent in a bug mail for this - fresh install MT3.2b-20050801 - cannot post new entries or edit existing entries.. have tried full fresh install twice to be sure. The 'Send' button once you finish typing the entry does nothing. Anyone else getting this problem?

Marcus's problem (correct me if I'm wrong) had to do with Javascript caching. Please force refresh your page or even flush your browser cache.

Yes that's correct, sorry for not commenting again to advise people. I usually clear the cache & cookies with a fresh install, but overlloked it this time :/
