Movable Type Hackathon Interview with Tim Appnel
In November Six Apart hosted a Movable Type Hackathon. The event was a great success with developers attending from all over the country, and a number of other developers participating throughout the week. One of those developers was Tim Appnel. Tim has been a member of Six Apart's Professional Network from the beginning, he is a long time plugin contributor and he is one of the more experienced Movable Type consultants out there. Tim flew in all the way from Connecticut to participate and we were honored to have him join us. What follows is another podcast in the ProNet podcast series that I recorded with Tim the day of the Hackathon.

Tim Appnel has always been one of the more interesting people that I like to follow. Not like a stalker. I mean his career and his doings. Not only has he been one of the biggest supporters of movable type but he's been humble about becoming one of the more notable figures at events. People like him and swarm to him and I like to stand in the corner and watch because it's just fascinating how much people like him and enjoy what he has to say and teach them. I wasn't personally in attendance at this last Hackathon so I appreciate you taking the time out to post some of the podcasts. It makes for interesting listening and Tim manages to get teaching messages out through the podcast although I don't think I should go into detail because I'm overflowing space as it is. How did you manage to not only tear away Appnel but also Jay Allen? That makes you the luckiest hacker I know.
I wish Tim would write a book and share his passion towards creating plugins. He’s actually the expert in this field. Unfortunately, it’s really hard to keep in touch with him because he’s always on call. Is there any site intended for Tim and his works?
