Microsoft Research on blogs vs. email
Though all offices use multiple modes of communication, it's sometimes useful to compare the strengths of different media to understand which is the best tool for a particular job. Though the name presents the two media in opposing roles, the truth is that email, instant messaging, blogs, and other media all work very well together.
