Movable Type Updates
We've officially announced Movable Type 3.0, and we've also released Movable Type 2.65, which adds Atom support and fixes some security issues (the upgrade is recommended for all Movable Type users).
Atom Support
From the beginning, we've pledged our support for Atom (then called Echo), and we've now added support for Atom syndication feeds to both of our products.
As of December 16, TypePad sites support version 0.3 of the Atom syndication feed format, along with <link> tags for autodiscovery.
And as of today, December 22, Movable Type supports version 0.3 of the feed format, also with autodiscovery.
What excites us most about the new format, though, are the possibilities of the common Atom API. We plan to add API support to Movable Type 3.0, and we'll be announcing more about our Atom API implementation for TypePad in a couple of weeks.
