What's New
We're very excited about the announcement and believe it's a sign of great things to come.
The Six Apart team is growing and we've got a lot of announcements planned for both our TypePad and Movable Type users. I miss the opportunity to speak as frequently about what's in development and am amazed by how quickly the year has flown by -- the past ten months have literally felt like three. We're becoming a big little company and it's fun and scary and incredibly rewarding. More importantly, we've reached the sort of milestone that allows us to take a quick breather and remember that communicating with our users and audience is incredibly important.
We are up to a lot of great stuff and we've wanted to share what we can with all of you. The great news is that we've got a new version of Movable Type planned for release in the next couple months that is a response to the sort of features and requests we've been hearing from our current users and other webloggers. Because of the success of TypePad and our ability to staff up, we're working on releasing more features in the basic Movable Type package and concentrating the features needed for businesses, organizations and large content-driven sites into Movable Type Pro. The delay in Pro has been directly related to the shift in our user's needs and our desire to distribute personal features into TypePad and Movable Type and by the overwhelming response to our products in the last ten months.
As soon as we can release more information about the feature list of the next Movable Type and Movable Type Pro, we'll be posting and sending a mailing.
In the meantime, we'll be continually watching what our users and other webloggers are up to and we'll continue working on the tools that hopefully make your online lives easier to manage.
