Panel at SXSW
I'll be moderating the ambitiously titled "Beyond the Blog: The Future of Personal Publishing" panel at this year's South By Southwest Interactive Festival.
The official panel description:
This session explores emerging technologies in the field of online publishing, including weblogging and moblogging through wireless devices, nascent desktop applications, and digital identity. The panel will also examine how these trends relate to traditional site feedback mechanisms.
Members of the panel: Paul Bausch, Anil Dash, Justin Hall, Ben Trott
Despite the Movable Type tilt of panel participants, I, as moderator intend to make this panel at vendor-neutral as possible. If you have any questions or topics you'd like us to consider beforehand, or if you'll be attending the conference and panel, let us know.

I dunno if you've ever been to Austin but you must do 2 things while you're there:
1. Visit Esther's Follies on 6th street for a good but somewhat cheesy laugh
2. Visit Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood TX (www.saltlickbbq.net) for an amazing family style dinner...
SXSW is a fun time, have fun!!!
Esther's Follies is really quite cheesy. You can find better things to do here than go to improv comedy on Drunky St.
The Salt Lick is good, but if you're not a BBQ purist and don't want to drive forty minutes out of Austin, the Iron Works is a quick walk from the convention center and is just fine.
Here's a quick list of more BBQ:

Please promote the idea of full localization and the great job you've done in that regard in MT.
Seems to me that nobody cares about the huge and growing number of non-English weblogs. Most of the tools for example do not support utf-8!
