Six Apart, the creator of award-winning blogging software and services Movable Type, TypePad and Vox, is looking for a Sales Coordinator. The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for fielding and managing inbound ad sales leads, administrative tasks for the Ad Sales department, and serving as the point of contact between Ad Sales and Finance. The successful candidate will be a self-starting business-oriented team player who is passionate about building strong relationships with advertisers, is very precise, and able to manage many diverse tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Respond and qualify all inbound advertising leads
- Gather research information and data from available sources to assist sales team in sales proposals and overall positioning
- Assist in the development and updating of sales materials and presentations
- Create all internal and some external Insertion Orders (IOs) for advertising campaigns
- Work with Finance to process IOs, credit applications and month-end billing issues. Also communicate to Ad Ops about the start of campaigns
- Assist Sales in monitoring campaign results for accuracy: taking screenshots, reviewing ads, pulling campaign reporting and optimizing
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, scheduling travel, organizing meetings, client gift bags, etc.
- Create, update and modify account information in the sales contact management system, Salesforce
- Pull data from comScore monthly and update collateral
- Manage multiple tasks, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Provide internal customer service to clients via telephone and electronic communication as necessary and contact clients as needed to resolve account issues. This might include reporting site served data and completing actualization reports.
- Participate in sales meetings, training programs and conferences as necessary
- Update Wiki with ad product and targeting information
- Assist Sales in managing the rep firm relationships and their ad campaigns
- Maintain internal revenue reports as needed
- Support Account Executives and Program Manager as needed
- Direct media intern and delegate projects as needed
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must.
- BA or equivalent work experience in the media industry.
- 2 plus years relevant experience.
- Proficient computer skills needed in Powerpoint, Excel, and Word.
- Blogging or social media knowledge a plus
- Able to establish and maintain positive working relations with internal and external clients
- Strong team player
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Able to adapt to change quickly
- Organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented
